Communion

Communion also known as The Lord’s Supper was an act first instituted by the Lord to show an example of commemorating His death and suffering.  The twelve apostles were witnesses as narrated in Matthew, Mark and Luke.  However, when Paul wrote to the Corinthian church he said that it was given to him by revelation.  Therefore, communion is a sacred rite to be instituted by the church.  1 Corinthians 11:26 says: For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do show the Lord's death till he come.  New Life Birmingham administers communion every first Sunday of the month with great reverence and thanksgiving in honor of His great sacrifice for us.
